Cookie policy
This is an earlier version of this document and is no longer in force. The current one is here.
Version 1.0. Effective date: 5 October 2026.
This page explains what your browser stores when you visit factshot.app. What we do with your data, on the website and in the app, is set out in the Privacy policy.
1. This site sets no cookies
No cookies. factshot.app sets no cookies, neither ours nor third parties': there is no web analytics, no advertising, no social media buttons and no content embedded from another site. The only thing it stores in your browser is your choice of a light or dark page, in local storage: it is not a cookie, it does not travel with any request or get sent anywhere, and it cannot be used to identify anyone. Because it is strictly necessary for something you yourself ask for (Article 22.2 of Spanish Act 34/2002, LSSI-CE), no consent banner is needed. If you clear the site data, it is gone.
The support form sets none either: it sends what you type into it when you press the button, and that is all.
2. What about the app?
FactShot does not use cookies: it is an app, not a browser. What it does with your data is explained in the Privacy policy.
3. What does remain: server logs
The provider that hosts the site (Netlify) records technical data about each visit — the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser — in order to serve it and protect the service. They are not cookies, they are not stored on your device and we do not use them to track anyone.
4. If this changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will first ask for your consent with a banner, as Article 22.2 of Spanish Act 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) requires, and this page will say what they are, what they are for and how long they last.
