Cookie policy
Version 1.2. Effective date: 12 October 2026.
This page explains what your browser stores when you visit factshot.app. What we do with your data, on the website and in the app, is set out in the Privacy policy.
1. This site sets no cookies
No cookies. factshot.app sets no cookies, neither ours nor third parties': there is no third-party web analytics, no advertising, no social media buttons and no content embedded from another site. The only thing it stores in your browser is your choice of a light or dark page and a marker saying you have already closed the cookie notice, in local storage. None of this is a cookie: it does not travel with any request or get sent anywhere, and it cannot be used to identify anyone. Because it is strictly necessary for something you yourself ask for (Article 22.2 of Spanish Act 34/2002, LSSI-CE), we do not ask for your consent. If you clear the site data, it is all gone.
The only analytics on the site is our own visit statistics, which also uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser: the Privacy policy explains it.
The first time you visit, a notice appears that explains this. It asks nothing of you, because there is nothing to consent to: "OK" closes it. You can reopen it whenever you like, from the link in the page footer or from right here.
The support form sets none either: it sends what you type into it when you press the button, and that is all.
2. What about the app?
FactShot does not use cookies: it is an app, not a browser. What it does with your data is explained in the Privacy policy.
3. What does remain: server logs
The provider that hosts the site (Netlify) records technical data about each visit — the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser — in order to serve it and protect the service. They are not cookies, they are not stored on your device and we do not use them to track anyone.
4. If this changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will first ask for your consent with a banner, as Article 22.2 of Spanish Act 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) requires, and this page will say what they are, what they are for and how long they last.
